Who’s on First?

In 2009, Bruce Frailey and partner Bill Creecy opened The Press Box Bar & Grill in Chesterfield, Missouri. Drawing on his experience as a co-owner of Mike Duffy’s and Frailey’s Pub & Grill, Frailey developed the theme of a sports bar that catered to families and sports fans alike. The bar and grill features photos of athletes, coaches, and sportscasters, from Jack Buck and Harry Caray to Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola.

With the concept of a family-friendly sports pub in mind, Frailey created a fun, warm atmosphere featuring fantastic food, including both Press Box originals, like Scuba Skins – seafood-inspired potato skins – and tasty classics, including wings and burgers.

“The Press Box is a place where you can have lunch with co-workers, bring the family for dinner, and watch the game with friends,” Frailey said. “No matter what the occasion, you can always expect great food and a great atmosphere.”

While St. Louis is known as a baseball town, The Press Box is a place where a variety of sports games can be enjoyed. The restaurant features 12 flat panel TVs, and a glassed-in bar area for fans. Booths encompass the entire outer wall, and the restaurant also features an outdoor dining area and a party room for events.
